2010 SLK 350 Question

Hi guys,

I am a new Mercedes owner having just recently purchased a black 2010 SLK 350. First off, I love it, love it, love it. Most fun I have ever had in driving a car. I am not neccessarily caught up on the techno gizmos inside (I purchased this vehicle because of its enjoyable, just plain fun drive). However, I do not have COMMAND in my vehicle (I guess its just the standard radio/ipod/sat radio/telephone normal set up inside. Does anybody know what I can do to get COMMAND installed? Or is this going to be crazy expensive? This has probably been answered somewhere else already, but any help would be much appreciated. I figure that if I own a $50K vehicle I shouldn't have to use a GARMIN GPS, lol. Thanks.

***Quick clarification: I guess what I have is called the Audio20 and I would like to swap it with COMMAND 2.5

Jeremy

So....I am probably going to use Cartronics (Great People), but I guess I have some more issues. I went and asked the dealer how much it would cost (Just out of curiosity) and the dealership told me that I was not able to install Command 2.5 because my Car didn't have Navi capabilities. These seems like a fares. Any thoughts?

Very Happy SLK 350 owner

That was a very uninformed person.... very silly answer. Thanks for the compliment!

Great!! So I can just equip the Command 2.5 and I apparently already have the Navi Antennae or whatever?

It includes the antenna, which mounts under the dash pad, near the interment cluster (out of site).

In my opinion, the Mercedes command navigation is inferior to a garmin nav unit in almost every sense that a navigation system should be. The only positive for command nav is the seamless integration in the car.
