Poll: Diamond Silver or Iridium Silver?

Which would you get? Diamond Silver or Iridium Silver?

If anyone has photos comparing the two colors, please post them!

Right now we have the Diamond Silver ordered with Red interior... let me know what you think!

This is a tough choice. Diamond Silver is prettier and more distinctive on the SL so I assume it will also look just as sharp SLK. I've yet to see Iridium silver on a car yet but the paint sample at the dealer suggests it is a winner too - even better than the Brilliant Silver it replaces. I went with the Iridium though because I wanted the red seats and did not want to pay an extra charge for them as would have been required if I'd ordered Diamond Silver.

How much is the extra charge? According to the color combos the dealer provided, it looked like any color leather can be ordered with the Diamond Silver.

The extra charge to get the red leather with the Dimond Silver SL was around $1000. On the European and British SLK catalogues the red interior is identified as an allowed, but not recommended color with the Dimond Silver. It is on this basis that I assume there will be an extra charge. For the Iridium the red seats are a recommended color which in the past meant no extra charge.

Thanks for the pictures! btw, we talked to the dealer and he said that the Diamond Silver / Red interior combination will not have an additional cost... we'll see what really happens when pricing information becomes available.

Last week I placed an order with Diamon Silver and Red interior. I was also checking pictures and the Diamond Silver looks different depending on the light conditions. I think it will look great with the red seats. Anyhow, this beauty is a winner in with pretty much any color combination!
