What is this? Where is this?

Does anybody know what section this picture is showing? It looks like it is behind the roll-over-bars. But I have not seen it before in any of the pictures! What is the size of this compartment? Does anybody have more pictures of this section? Any more info?

And finally, there's a logical place to store the owner's manual

It's about as wide as the "First Aid Kit" that comes with MB Cars. If that helps.

What is it that you are trying to fit?

"What is it that you are trying to fit?" I am still laughing!

My Anaconda!

I am just looking for a place for a subwoofer. Someone said he had a sub under the carpet in the passenger foot area! He said there was a 4cu feet of empty space! You mind destroying your car to find out if such a space exists anywhere!

I'll take that as a [Canadian] joke. j/k :p

He must have been really short with the seat ALL the way up to fit 4cu feet

Actually, if you remove the carpet under the passengers feet, you will find a metal plate bolted to the firewall. If you remove this, it will reveal a compartment filled with foam. If you remove the foam, it reveals upwards of 4 cubic feet. I installed a 10" subwoofer back there in a custom box, recarpeted it, and there you go, didn't lose any leg room what so ever.
