May have found my SLK.

Dealer has:

Irridium/Black
Heating Package
Comfort Package
Lighting Package
Premium Package
NAV
Run-Flat
and (this is a biggie): Manual Transmission!!

MSRP: $54,450.

1) What discount off MSRP is do-able? Will be bank-financed.
2) I would require the dealer swap out the 10 spoke wheels from the above with those from the launch edition - I just prefer the LE wheels over the ten-spoke. Shouldn't I get a credit?
3) Are mats typically 'included'? What extras/freebies do dealers typically 'throw in' for the asking, and what did you get?

Thanks for your help.

I got $2,000 off MSRP on an ordered car. Sometimes they will not give as much on an in-stock vehicle..but try. In addition you should know the list price of the car....go to: 'Edmunds.com' and check out the prices of your options. Don't be afraid to DEAL with the salesman, the dealer never looses money even if they sell you the car for list. That's because of the 3%(of MSRP) HOLDBACK that the Manufacturer pays the dealer after you buy the car. In your case that's almost $1,650. Goodluck!
BTW- mats were included in my car...I have the AMG pkg. so I did'nt change wheels.

I got $ 1,000.00 off MSRP and I ordered back in October. You might be able to do better now. I wouldn't think you would get any credit for swapping wheels at all. It's more work for the dealer. Mats are always included. I also got a chrome keychain and Slk hat at delivery. Whoopie!

I paid MSRP but got the extended warranty, tire and wheel insurance, couple of other goodies and a blanket :-).
Good to deal. Only one dealer here that were bought out and are so much better than a few years ago. I was pleased with the deal and VERY happy with the "piece of art" !

Aren't the LE 10 spoke wheels the same as the regular 10 spoke rims. I don't know about the 350 that much. I have the SLK 55 AMG.

You have great options, that is a good deal you are getting. I am positive you can take at least 100 dollars off the MSRP, so if you can't get a 1000 of then try the 100. And ask for like a key chain, maybe a car cover, or a pen. I got the AMG key chain and the AMG license plate frame to match my SLK 55 AMG. I asked for it and they gave it to me.

If you are one of these people asking the same question as the guy who started the forum, then your sales rep is not pretty good.

Miki Yoshida. Interesting, I never look for a car "dressed up" nor give them the impression I am looking.
Usually I find no one bothers me or if they do they think I am just window shopping and are quick to get me out. Kind of eliminates the typical car salesman approach.
Same thing happened here I rode in on my Harley, tank top, old pants, etc. and had the place to myself. One guy did come out and showed me where the SLK was in the parking lot... not much more.
But Miki came out after I was "blown off" and answered questions, took me around and found a Launch edition in the back (locked up, no keys) that was going to Maui. First I heard about this special launch edition.
She found that there was one more coming and even though they had no info on what was with the car she really tried to get more info to me.
As you know, I decided to order it and got it. She was very very good about turning over the vehicle and did a super job. Good attention to detail and they were so hot on me picking it up by the end of November they were "freeer" on adding good goodies, including the roses, chocolates, etc.
Now I still have reservations with the service department and time will tell with this one. Got some horror stories in teh past with the Theo Davis bunch but did see some new faces so maybe they are more professional... will keep you posted.

not to hijack this thread or anything, but i had a good experience with the service recently when i took the SL and E in for service. they are really into the customers giving them good ratings in the surveys, supposedly good ratings gives them more cars for their inventory. when i picked up my slk, the fuel was only about 3/4 full, so they told me to come back after I emptied the tank and they would fill it up
