2006 Porsche Cayman S
White
My SLK 320 is white and I love it on that car. But we all know that it looks good on some and very bad (plain) on others.
I am also considering the white when I order in Feb just because it looks so good on the 320.
Any pictures in white?

I also own a White SLK350 w/ Ash Interior. I am really enjoying the color combination, but the Ash interior may be a little harder than others to keep clean.

I don't mind posting a pic at all, but I am not the most computer savy person in the world. I do own a digital camera and am familiar with downloading the pics to a computer, but how do I attach a pic to a post. Any advice?

Color preference is very subjective and with the AMG package it looks great to me. From a objective point, White shows a cars lines the least of any color. This is a big negative with the SKL because of the way white hides the sleek lines.

slk 350
I was at the Philly Auto Show this week and MB had a white slk350 with AMG and an Irridium Slk55. They were close enough to compare. Color is very subjective so go with what you love, but I thought the Irridium color looked much better than the white. I don't know if it was the depth of the metallic finish or just the fact that the silver one was a Slk55. But the silver car just looked better IMO, common or not. But like I said get what you love. My slk 350 is Irridium so of course I'm probably biased.

MBWorld Fanatic!
White's hot...i saw this one at the Greenbrier a couple of years ago...
this isnt the best pic, but it was sweet how it matched the building so well. It looks really classy imo, not as hard to keep clean as black, and better than silver on this small of a car i think.

White is not at all popular in Europe. It's seen as very much an '80s colour, or the colour of ambulances, wedding hire cars and police cars. However, when I went on a tour round the Jaguar S Type factory, white was the most common colour on the assembly line. That's because (evidently) it's still popular in the US!

white is a regional preference....
i picked up my cubanite metallic slk at the factory and had a very interesting trip around the factory, where the guide said that popular colours are different for different regions of the world.
white is very popular in the states and arabia apparently along with deep metallic crimsons etc whereas 70% of UK cars are predominantly silver, and when we inspected the job tickets on a few sl's he was proved absolutely correct!
in the UK white is a real minus point when coming to sell your car - no one wants a white car to the extent that the value is actually lower.
i think white looks good in bright sunshine, but then again silver looks even better...

well, keep in mind the supply of white cars are less in number compare to silver or black in general
so, even though i am seeing white off the lot fairly fast, while silver are stacking up, doesn't mean silver is not popular at all![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
i mean, i do own a silver CLK afterall
but i do plan to get a white slk
