Check out the article on the new AMG63ML . It has the new naturally aspirated four-valve-per-cylinder 6.3-liter V8 with 500 hp

It should also be replacing the 55 AMG in the SLK. So it is interesting to read a more detailed article about the 63 than just the rumor because MB licensed the 63 AMG logo.

It's not sure wether or not the new 63 will replace the non-kompressor 55 engines. It's more likely to replace only the 55 Kompressor engines.

In German-speak, what does Kompressor mean? I had always thought it meant that the engine was supercharged.

Agreed. I don't this 500 hp engine will find its way to the SLK. The SLK would be faster than the SL, and I don't think that would sit well with consumers. However, I wonder about the new V8 that is being introduced with the upcoming S-Class....something like a 5.5L producing around 400 hp?

That's right! The new 400hp-430hp 4V 5.5L V8 will aslo find its way in the SLK but when? 2006? 2077?
