What would you choose - the SLK55 or SL55?
Hi,

I was just curious i wanted to ask people - if they had the choice between the SLK 55 AMG or the SL 55 AMG - which would they choose and why?

Asking that on an SLK55 forum is bound to lead to an obvious answer...... but SL55 for ultimate good looks and straight line performance and SLK55 for rarity and handling

I want both!

SL55 for intercity trips, and the SLK55 for everything else!

We got a SLK55 AND a E55T for about the same cost as a SL55. Easy choice

When choosing between the new SLK and the old SL...
When choosing between these cars most people seem to have gone for the SL for males. I hope Mercedes are listening before they decide to do the facelift to make the SL look like the SLR...will that make the SL too girly and make the SLK look too much like the SL...interesting times...

I love the SL55 and the SLK55 just the same, perhaps the SLK more. Why? Because the SL, dispite it's beautiful looks and power advantage, has been around for a while, and looking a little boring in compairison to the new SLK55.

My dream for each car would be:

Red SL65 AMG on Berry red interior

Red SLK55 AMG on Black and Red interior

And if I had both, Red SL, Silver SLK

SL every time. However, the SLK is half the price, and the SL isn't twice as good.
