Fake SLK55 spotted in North Jersey.
lol this Tuesday night (7/26), I was sitting in a bad traffic on my bike with my buddys on Rt. 46 by Clifton in New Jersey and I spotted a fake SLK55. 
at first I was like WOW! SLK55! it was black, Xenon lights, SLK55 badges in the back, and SLK55 rims. so I look closer to it, and the first thing i noticed was it didnt' have quad exhaust. then I look closer, it had SLK350 body kit on it.

anyone from here? dude your 350 is fine as is, don't be a poser, people know what you are driving and you are only degrading yourself with the fake 55 and AMG badges.

I don't understand it either and I'm noticing more and more full blown posers every day. You should be happy as hell that you drive the benz you have, no matter which model, especially a new SLK350.

Seems like its "posing season" Monday night I was driving south on 295 around
exit 26 when in the right lane is a SL500 with AMG badges on it and 4" high
AMG window stickers on the driver side.I was in my C43 at the time and pulled along side him and just shook my head at him , he was caught posing and he knew it.

wow, I didn't know that that car made it out to NJ! I saw an older hispanic lady driving a post face-lifted w202 that was a "CLK320 Kompressor"... tards.

Fake E55 in Palm Desert
License read "ReMAX VIP" at a real estate convention. Saw the E55 and AMG badging on the trunk as my wife and I were heading to the Spa at the Marriott Desert Springs. Looked good from a distance. Then I noticed the Lorinzer "scouped" front fenders. Looked better. When I got close, the fenders were not the real ones but copies, the quad exhausts were not AMG, the AMG "aero" kit was not on the car, nor was the AMG interior. Wheels were not even AMG, but the rotors were red! For the money that person spent, they probably coulda had the real thing instead of a "posermobile" that looked good from a distance. But I guess that was the intent - good from a distance.

I've seen tons of fake AMGs in Hong Kong as well. Saw a fake E55 the other day with no mods other than the E55 and AMG batch (not even the V8 Kompressor on the sides). Such losers!!!

I agree that they shouldn't put fake logos on their cars. I think they are just dreaming. The whole dreaming thing reminds of when I was a 'bit younger' and I had my first new car. It was a Fiat X 1/9. It was MY little Ferrari! I didn't put Ferrari logos on it, by I affectionately called it my Ferrari 154 after the Ferrari naming system.........308 was 3 liter V8, 348 was 3.4 liter V8...........mine was a 1.5 liter 4. It seems rediculous now, but I guess we all have to start dreaming for what we want sometime.

Hey, that story isn't near as bad as this one:
I was driving in Natick,MA and passed a C class, 4 door sedan. I was curious if it was a C240 or a C320, so I looked at the rear badge and it read, "CLK500"

During my road-trip to the UK, I saw a (badged) CLS 500, with an AMG badge on the back, and the words "V6 Kompressor" on the side.
The AMG badge, I can understand. He had the AMG body kit, and he didn't rename his car CLS 55, just CLS 500. But the 5 liter engine is a V8, not a V6, and the engine is most definitely not supercharged, thus why in lords name did he have it badged as Kompressor???
I took a picture of the car (while driving), but sadly the very second I passed him to take the pic, my side mirror was in the way and it obstructed the V6 Kompressor logo =(
