SLK55 v's SL55
#7
I traded in my SL55 for my wifes new SLK55. I had way too many problems with the car and just wanted it gone. I will not be caught dead in the car though. It is a CHICK CAR.

Why do you have to go and start trouble. This is going to lead to no good. If you hate the 55 so much, stick to your own forum.

I'm guessing that any AMG would be just too much for him... and he might get hurt so he traded it in. Probably went for one of those super duper GS thangs, i hear them cars from that little island are really realiable and don't make your poor heart race too much..

Wow, such babies on this forum. I believe I am in one of my forums. Our SLK55 is my 3rd 55 buddy. I am just too tall for the car and I look silly in it, so I think it is a little too fem. It's my opinion, I did not want to start a war about it. If you disagree, then fine, that is what makes our country great, but when you start being an *** about it, then that is stepping over the line. Grow up people!

SL55, ML500, GT3 RS, 997C2S
I traded in my 04 SLK32 for the SL55. I have driven the SLK55 on the road and on the autocross track at Lime Rock.
The first thing that you notice is that the SL55 is a bigger car. It looks bigger and it feels bigger, drives bigger. It also weighs about 1000 lb more. I don’t know the performance differences but I think they are very close, just not published by MB. The exhaust of the SL55 is deeper and louder than the SLK55. There is more room inside for the taller of us, more storage, more lux options. I didn’t like the aluminum trim in the SLK55 and I ordered the SL55 with walnut trim. Oh! The price is also a bit different. Good luck and try to find a dealer that will let you drive both.
6000 miles of fun so far

You come on the SLK55 forum and say that you would not be caught dead in the car because it is a "CHICK CAR". I think that is starting trouble. What did you expect, everyone to say, yep you're right. By the way, I am not your buddy.
