Can I adjust height of xenon light?

I just picked my car up 2 days ago. I ll post PIC ASAP.

I have a question. I think my driver side xenon is too low so I asked to service advisor but he told me exactly what I expected. That was all about factory setting...and auto leveling but I already knew all about that and I understand every thing.

But I want to adjust little bit.

Anybody knows how to adjust xenon ? Is it possible to adjust by myself ?

I could adjust My all bmw usuing screw driver and it was easy.

I hope get good answer.

Happy New Year!

No answer for you, but why not leave it alone?

My understanding is that all vehicles have their left set lower as to not blind oncoming traffic. Is it so much of a difference that it bothers you or do want to see better?

I know what you mean and I totally understand all about those points.

I think if I control little bit, it is not gonna bother oncoming traffic.

Last night I almost hit something on my lane on freeway. That stuff was on driver side. If my xenon was little bit higher than now, I could see that early and change my lane without hurry.

I'm not gonna try to make my xenon like a highbeam.

I thought Xenon's were autoleveling so you can't change them. I also thought the autolevel function was required in order for them to be legal??

Obviously you are new to HID (Xenon) lights. I remember in 2001 the day (or that night) I got my S2000. Turning off an Interstate exit I thought I was going to run off the road because I thought I could not see far enough on the driver's side. I made a similar post to yours on the S2K (S2000) forum. I assure you that your lights are as they should be. You actually see farther with HDI's but they tend to have a distinct cut off (unlike halogen) which gives a false impression. By law all HID's must be auto leveling and the driver's side must be lower than the passenger's side so as not to blind oncoming traffic. Give it a few days (or nights) and you will become accustomed to them and won't like driving with dim yellow halogen's

Why does everyone assume the driver's side is set lower?

The passenger's side is set higher to allow a farther sight of the shoulder.

To correct the problem, lower the passenger's side light.

The right side is higher up than the left side to prevent blinding oncoming vehicles.

I think that not all HID's are auto leveling. My previous cars I'd adjusted the HID's to aim a bit higher. But i'm not sure on the Mercedes-Benz. It was a simple turn with a screw driver

go to your dealer and they will test the levels of your lights (they can be off sometimes).

Thank you guys.
I went to dealer and asked to test level. After they checked it, driverside was abnormally low so they adjusted little bit. Now I can see much better than before.
And it was really easy to adjust like my bmw, they adjusted bi-xenon using screw driver. It took only 10 sec.

Why don't you guys just answer the question....autoleveling so they can be legal, where is that??? Headlights go out of whack for a laundry lit of reasons, I don't see how MB would make that adjustment a mystery. On my W202 xenons...I can adjust the height and don't even need a tool. It's a plastic knob in the back of the housing, anyways here's a Google search for aiming headlights--------> LINK

HERE'S a source for Xenons to answer Tommy's question

By the way, the headlights on my SLK55 do not autolevel unlike those of my old 350.
I thought the AMG did not autolevel??
