I swear ... back when I got my E55 in 1999 ... AMG cars were incredibly rare.

Now I see them everywhere ... on my way to work this morning I saw 4 mercedes.
1. ML55 black
2. SL55 silver
3. CLK(conv)55 some red color
4. E500 some blue color

including mine ... 4 out of 5 were AMG. I also saw 4 BMW's this morning ...
1. 740il black
2. last gen M5 red
3. last gen M5 silver
4. M3 Red

I'm almost thinking that I see more M's or AMG's than I do normal BMW's or Mercedes.

Last night I counted a DB7, Carrera 5, CLS600, SL600, C55, 2 xBMW 745, 2x M3s, my SLK55, and a bunch of 3 series and C class in the parking lot of my apt building in San Francisco. My g/f joked that if she wanted to steal cars this would be a one stop shopping mall.

FYI -
# 1) In the US , Mercedes sells over half the cars that sell for over 100k.

# 2) Rolex makes more watches in a year than AMG produces cars.

I think that's a great idea! There is an event forum on this and the other website. However, I would still put posts in the slk55 forum. The c32/c55 forum is highly active. I'm sure you could get a turn out from all the various AMG cars. I'd be in for a meet. I want to see some modified cars.

Are you going to get the Kleeman rear diffuser to go with the exhaust? I'm sure you could sell the OE diffuser to someone here.
