FS: NEW: Staggered 19 inch Asantis w/ PS2 tires off my SLK55 :)

These are staggered Asanti AF120 19 x 8.5 in front and 19 x 10 wheels with a powdercoated grey center and chrome lip (also Mercedes silver ///AMG centercaps). These wheels are three-piece forged and are in excellent condition. They are barely three months old and are off an '06 SLK55. The tires are PS2s with 235/35 up front and 265/30 in the rear. I do not know the offset as Asanti is "secretive" as to what offsets they use, but these should fit any of the newer AMG Mercedes and perhaps even the standard W203, W211, etc. The tires look brand new and have barely been driven on. These have no curb rash, the only imperfection is EXTREMELY MINOR checking as seen in pictures, very minor only noticed when I was cleaning them. These wheels are terrific and the only reason I am selling them is because there is a new Brabus CL55 in the garage. My asking price is $4000 shipped ($3700 local pickup). If interested, I can send you the original receipt from just months ago for these wheels at $5200+ from Shoreline Motoring in Huntington Beach. This is a great deal so don't pass them up! I am located in Irvine (Orange County), California.

VERY MINOR checking, only on the one wheel

Thanks for looking!

You will have a difficult time selling 10" rims. Buyer beware for rubbing, many who've tried have either cursed the decision or gotten new wheels. What's your reason?

Not interested since I already have wheels, just commenting...

They look like they're in great shape. It's a nice combo, gunmetal and polished lips. The price is very reasonable too. Those tires alone will cost $1200 plus mounting. So, $2500 more for the wheels is a good deal. Good luck!

I have never had ANY rubbing issues with these wheels WHATSOEVER. These wheels and offset were built specifically for this car. Keep in mind they are a 265/30, not a 275 or up. I have never experienced any rubbing. You pay what you get for. I am selling because I just purchased a CL55 which happened to come with 20" Brabus Mono VIs, so I already have wheels for that, just need to find a nice home for these

I appreciate the kind words, and I feel this is a reasonable offer seeing that 3 months ago I paid $1500 more. Its also a powdercoated center with a chrome lip, the benefit to that is that it will never dull or fade the way a polished lip would.

Do a search and you will find the threads addressing the rubbing problem with 10" rims. Driving characteristics differ from person to person, but even those who thought they didn't have a problem, did after driving more aggressively. Also, these people did "get what they paid for" buying high-end wheels, i.e. HRE, Fiske, etc...

I'm not saying they won't work, I'm warning forum members for potential problems others have had...that's what this forum is for among many other things.

I can tell you that I have never heard a single rub with these wheels, PERIOD. Once again let me tell you I have 265s (not to mention who knows what offset they were running) and have never had a single issue. These cars are meant to be "performance cars" and thus they are driven like so. Bottom line - I have had personal experience with THESE wheels, and have NEVER had rubbing.

Understood and chill I'm just giving fair balance. You will sell them to the person that wants to pay for them. I wanted to go ten's too but was warned against it by HRE.

Lower your price, if you don't need them give them to me for a steal. I'll wire you the cash right away if lets say you give me a 50% break

Also, your tires are 'technically' 275's, the PS2's are a bit wider than a regular 265. That is not a bad thing, the PS2's are awesome tires.

If money were no object, I would just give them to you, unfortunately this world revolves around the green stuff. I am already taking a $1500 blow by selling these at this price.

This is interesting considering Paul Roberts at Shoreline and Asanti felt 10s were fine for the rear. I mean I can't complain. If I were to have paid what I did for wheels that were "meant for the car" and they rubbed, you can bet I would have been back demanding a refund.

Not to keep on bashing your post, but some have had problems with PS2's as well because of what dinko mentioned. Most of this happened when the R171 first came out. I've heard less and less about the rim width and Michelin's being a problem of late.

That stopped me from purchasing them in the past, but I'm over it. A lot of people have 19" Michelin PS2's (and the 19's are the ones with the so-called problems of not being perfectly round), but I'd buy them again. But not over the Toyo T1-R's, much cheaper and probably the best competition for the PS2. T1-R's are my next tire and they will be 235 & 275!
