Videos: Resonator Removed Sounds
I had my resonator cut off a few weeks ago and this is what it sounds like. Hope it will give those who are thinking about doing so an idea of the sounds.

Great vid! I love mine and cant wait to get back and take the cat of to see if it makes a big difference in sound or not!!! Please tell me more about that camera setup its awesome!!!!

Thank you for sharing with us, it sounds terrific but if you do get the headers I donut recommend you to let some one start the car when your standing behind it as you might be frightened

Quick comment, sounds like you replace the resonator with 2 straight pipes, I can tell from the exhaust's "blapping" sound right after start up & before you put it in D. Shouldn't you join the 2 exhausts together at some point to get a refine/balanced tone without the "blapping" noise? I asked because I did the same on my E550, and it was very unpleasant, we then replaced the straight pipes with magnaflow's universal x-pipe and everything went back to normal, but with a more angry tone. Just a suggestion.

I just duck taped my camera to the tow hook and then connected it to the slot on the back bumper. Not very high tech but quite effective.

UPDATE: I got my straight pipes replaced friday with a Magnaflow x-pipe. Here is how it sounds with the x-pipe. There's a deep, melodic howl (that the camera doesn't capture very well) whenever the car reaches abouve 4,000 rpm that I'm really enjoying.

as I said in the other forum, it sounds amazing and is a substantial improvment, sounds much cleaner and better. I think its more civalized and just what every slk needs.
