171 Star Service Manual for $78.50 plus shipping!
Hey Everyone,
I was browsing the internet the other day looking for a Mercedes service manual for my 2006 SLK55 AMG and I found a website that sells them fairly cheap.
Check out "Auto-Repair-Manuals.com". Today I just received the Star Service Manual for my car and it covers 2005 - 2006 SLK280, SLK350 and SLK55 AMG.
Here is the link for the page that I purchased my CD from: 171 Star Service Manual.

You are welcome
The only mods I have on my Z06 is a Corsa X-Pipe and mufflers, Halltech Carbon Fiber Intake & Filter and I am going to get it tuned by a local Lingenfelter shop here in Dallas
I see you have removed the resonators on your SLK55. Did you install an X-Pipe? I am considering getting the SuperSprint X-Pipe. Are those welded on at the back? I haven't had time to even get under the SLK55 since we have had it home a couple of weeks ago

No videos of the Vette, sorry
Do you have any videos of your exhaust sound? I would like to compare straight pipes to an X-Pipe

It's quite odd I dont know why it would redirect you to a internet video site lol ill see if i can find them on my other comp and send them your way. Here is a youtube vid of me racing a e55 after i got my tune if you turn it up at the very beginning when driving out of the parking lot you hear a deep rumble thats my car. Lat meet I went to a guy with a modded Z06 was obsessing over the sound lol. Vid is pretty lame didnt know they were recording i was sitting there talking with people anyway hope it gives you a little idea:

Jack, how useful is the manual for a '55 owner that does some do-it-yourself work but has no modern tools like a scan tool nor anything more technically advanced, thanks!

IIIMBPIII,
Thanks for the video
Shark,
The manual, in my opinion, is very useful and a must have if you do any maintenance yourself. It is a real bargain for that price

Thanks Jack, I'm ordering one today. It does seem like a bargain as I've bought similar ones for my Pathfinder and Explorer, and they were more than $200 each.
