I love my SLK 55 but I want a meatier sound, louder, rougher

There is alot of talk about X-Pipes but I can't seem to find much info in the UK.

Has anyone had this done in the UK?

Looking for some local guidance.

Hey Anthony, I just installed Supersprint's X-pipe and it sounds a lot deeper and louder, especially at WOT!

I'm not sure about getting one in the UK, but here is Eurosport Design's wesite where I purchased mine. Check them out!

If I have one shipped over from the US, is installation easy? I use a local workshop for my day to day needs.

Yeah, installation is pretty easy. The front side is direct bolt on. The rear part of your stock resonator needs to be cut and then your new X-pipe will have to be welded on. As long as your local workshop has a welder then you should be good to go.

What we do is cut the rear section which is slightly smaller than the Supersprint pipe. We slip the factory exhaust into the Supersprint pipe and we bolt them together with 2 1/4" muffler clamps. Once we are sure that we are happy with the fitment (we have the customer drive for a couple of days and give us the OK that there are no rattles because it gets close when you have a rear diffuser on the car) then we weld them permanently and remove the clamps. Or you can just bypass the clamps, line them up and make sure everything in good on the rear and weld them up.

If you want to buy the X-pipe through us I can throw in a couple of muffler clamps that would do the job for you. Just let me know.

The Supersprint X-Pipe works great with its cat. back system. I have de-cat those secondaries on Monday, it sounded great and pick up horsepower as well.
