I am CORRECT that his first name is MIKE??

AM I correct that his first name is MIKE? German has this mark called an umlout--I am not sure if that is a dot over the i in Mike or some other German first name. Whats your guess?

WOW--That is hard to read. Good luck in figuring out that guys name.
However--makes no difference--the car is great!
Mine is black on black. I was not sure about the color- however now that I have it--it looks great!! Mine was built in July. There is a sticker on the drivers door sill with the build date. I am thinking that my SLK55 was one of the earlier build models since the car has NO electric seats and NO electric tilt wheel. They must have built the car without all the parts in stock yet. Credit was given due to the lack of power seats. I never use power seats so not having them was not a big issue. HOWEVER my car came --BRAND NEW with over 600 test miles on it. Paper signed by AMG and all. I guess they were checking things out real well--this all leads me to believe mine was a early build. Anyone elese with "test miles" on their SLK55.

Mine is L something - impossible to read. I wondered about this. I'll get a pic and post it. Hopefully, I'll match up with someone else and they can read German scrawl.

Actually, 'Mike' (if that's what it says) is always male !

There is Michael and Michaela (the latter being female), but 'Mike' (whether it's an abreviation or the full first name) is always male.

cheers,
d

The waffle finish is the supercharged engines, where the smooth ones are the N/A V8's.

Mine is smooth, because I shave it.

Its not for SLK55, they are refering to other AMG cars with the blown 5.4L V8 (ie AMG E55).
