O-M-G I drove the SLK today!
Hello all,
Well, I finally did it. I took the car out for a drive whileJim slept in this morning. All I can say is O-M-G! I have never driven anything like this. It is the most responsive car I've ever been in! That is not to say I've drivenmay sports cars ind you but this goes above and beyond. It wasjust me, the car and Billy Joel's Songs in the Atic a little too loud on the radio. Top down... can you say heaven? The brakes will take a little getting used to but from what I saw today the only problem with this car is that it's my husbands

no cheating at all. This way he was counting sheep instead of the minutes until me ( and more importantly his baby) got back :-) It was done very intentionally though he's most certainly never told me I couldn't drive it.

A SL55 delivered 8/18/07, and an E55 wagon delivered 5/11/05
Comfort? What's comfort? I was very happy being in sport mode thank you :-) Of course you were an insperation. How could you not be the way you blew away the SL500 that was next to you when we split up to seperate freeways yesterday!

What I remember best is seeing the AMG on your wheels as you drove - extremely coooooool.
I don't remember speeding away from an SL500. I was just trying to find my way back to the beach. I usually only go inland for Drs and Attys :p
I was probably speeding away from this toyota that kept getting in front of me when I would slow trying to figure out where I was (and wait for you guys because I enjoyed looking at your car so much - it truly is beautiful). Each time I figured it out, and went to switch lanes, the idiot cut me off. The last time, I gunned it hard to get around them and they responded by cutting me off so bad I had to slam on my brakes, and my Engine Warning Light came on! grrrrr.. Inlanders w/cheap cars - they WANT you to get in an accident w/um.
I pulled off at the next exit (which happened, wonderfully, to be where the Wine Club was) and I parked and turned off and on the car, and the light went off. Then I went in to get a couple bottles for later, and they were just starting their wine tasting! Meant to be

You had a Toyota, we had a hugh Caddy Escalade that just wanted Jim to stay behind him. If Jim tried to go ariound he'd slow down... yadda yadda. I never noticed the Toyota in front of you, I though it was the SL500 that was kind of between us you were playing with. I think he thought that too :-)
Also, to all, we confirmed that when moving 70 to 80 mph all you see if the wheels is the AMG on the brakes. Very fun!
Kim - who went out wine drinking behind the Orange curtain yesterday too!
