Blue smoke?
As you may recall my (UK) car arrived early, just before Christmas. Last week the car was delivered to my home but as yet I have not registered it (as I await the new/next UK registration on 1st March) so the best I can do is familiarise myself with the controls and shuffle the car around on my driveway - torture!
I am absolutely delighted with the car so far, however, I have noticed that on a couple of occasions I have started the engine (from cold) for there to be an emission of blue smoke from the exhausts? I have never owned a serious performance car before therefore I just wanted to get some thoughts from yourselves as to whether this might be of concern.
The smoke stops as soon as the engine is running. I was guessing that the blue smoke may be oil with the engine still being new and the car having only done a total of 31 miles. My previous car was an SLK320 but the engine in that car hardly consumed any oil in the 3 years I owned it.
I have attached some further photos of the car for you to take a look at.
Best regards

Enjoy the car!

There seems to be a problem with the '55 AMG and a short vaccume hose, so if your engine light comes on it might be that. Also check the soft rubber seal around the windows to make sure it's seated correctly and not crimped by the window. Be careful not to hit the shift buttons on the back of the stering wheel when you turn; it was a problem for me the first few days.
Have fun, I just crossed my 1000 mile mark earlier this week :-).

I paid ~£56,500 (~$106,750) for my car and yes it is pretty much fully loaded.
My only other grumble was about my dealer who filled the car with cheap petrol (RON 95) when the manufacturer recommends RON 98, which is what I am intending to run the car on - any comments?
