SLK 55 AMG
You got the Designo color. Thats cool. It looks good in the picture, but make sure that it looks good in person. I ordered the SLK 350 in Diamond Silver with AMG SPORTS PACKAGE, now in the pictures it looked nice. I heard the color changes due to the fact of how much light is being reflected on it. A person in my neighborhood got a 2004 SL with Diamond Silver, so I saw how it looed and how the color changed from Silverish Blue to a darker Silverish Blue. When my SLK 350 Diamond SIlver AMG Sports Package came, I really did not like it. It did not look tough to me. I guess the reason why I felt this was because 2 days before the SLK 350 D/S came in I went to a different dealership and saw a SLK 55 AMG Black exterior and two tone white and black interior. Now the SLK 55 AMG looked tough and ripped. I cancled my order with the SLK 350 D/S and went to another dealership to get my SLK 55 AMG in black with the same two tone color. I am very happy now.
I saw another designo picture of the SLK in the black designo color. It was taken from another person, MBZ did not take the picture, and it was posted in one for these forums in the SLK 55 AMG or SLK 350 threads. Take a look at it, I think you would like it more. It really looked nice.
But once again you have to see it in person to make a really good judgement. I am pretty sure there are a lot of people who would agree with me on this. Well, not the people who do European delivery. Nothing wrong with that though.

Or lets say I didn't take it back home, then I would be upset because I planned a Euro trip to get my SLK 350 and in the end I don't have my SLK 350. What a waste of time and money.
Get what I am saying. I still think the idea of European Delivery is great. Go ahead have a nice trip and bring back a nice prize home.

I was told they didn't have Euro dlvry on the SLK55 because it isn't made in the usual factory.
I would have liked Euro dlvry as there are some of us that another trip to Europe isn't that big a deal and just another chance to catch up with friends. Plus, if I didn't like the car I would have known a couple weeks earlier and been able to order another one that much earlier.

This Looks Like Orion Blue.
Orion Blue is the color of my SLK 55. I really like the color. I'll post pictures as soon as I can take them. I'm in L.A. and it's been raining almost continuously since I got my SLK so no opportunity to take a picture.

Orion Blue looks a lot darker than Caspian Blue. Orion blue has this dark purple hue to it while Caspian has a green hue.

Orion blue is a great color. I just walked into the dealer for information, and there it was in the backlot among about a dozen 350's. I couldn't resist. I've had it for about three weeks now. I'm new to this forum so I don't have any details about the Rose Bowl GTG. I may be out of town on 3/12, but just in case, what's the scoop?
