First SLR in Oklahoma
Can you think of anything better than to come back to work from lunch to this? I can't think of much else. I love these cars and have been waiting for ours to get here since the day I heard about the SLR. It was sold less than a week later :-(. The lady who bought it brought her nice Red SL65 in to be serviced, and left with a Beautiful Silver SLR. must be nice!

Hah it's good to know that Okies are actually buying these things and keeping them in the state. The dealer in Tulsa, OK has one on the showroom floor, but it hasn't been sold as of yet.
The same dealer in Tulsa sells Porsches, and they have sold 3 Carrera GT's, but only one stayed in the state. The others went out of state.

No, the panic button is for when you get your auto insurance bill

I'm curious what you think the insurance is on this car
Let's play a high/low game here. I get this comment all the time about the car (about how much the insurance is). Take a shot at the yearly insurance on this car, in the US. Let's see who gets closest!

My apologies for butting in the insurance discussion but I felt like this pic should be shared with fellow MB enthusiasts.
This is a picture of Sheikh Mohammad's garage in Dubai. He happens to be the crown prince of the Emirate and is a dedicated MB fan, having a certain preference for the G-Wagen. Here however it's a completely different story. An F430, TWO SLRs and the Holy Grail...a CLK-DTM.

I believe that the rate is quoted at 5000 miles/year. Of course, given that I have about 4200 miles in about 6 months, I'll have to garage it soon.
NOT!
