I want to urge all SLR owners to attend the SLR Club Launch to be held in Le Castellet, France this July. This is an official Daimler-Chrysler sponsored owners club. I just recently returned from attending the Monaco Grand Prix with the SLR Club. We were taken in a caravan of Maybachs from Le Castellet to Nice, then helicoptered into Monaco. We had a private viewing terrace directly at the Start/Finish line. As if this VIP treatment were not enough, David Coulthard, fresh off his 3rd place podium finish at Monaco, joined us two days later for a day on the track at Le Castellet for one on one driving instruction time in the SLR. These events are absolutely incredible, but I have noticed not alot of Americans are attending. Perhaps it is because you don't know. These events are open to all owners on a first come, first serve basis and are very exclusive. Contact your PLM for details or you can respond to me. It is truly an incredible Club!

Well i think the SLR uses a modified AMG SL55 engine mate so it's the heart of an AMG.
