Blue SLR on HRE's

I put some HRE's on the only blue SLR in the country and thought I'd share it with you guys. Thoughts?? Opinions??

(Sorry about my ****-poor photo taking ability. I'll get some better shots next time its in.)

The only blue one, huh? Even though it looks nice, I actually prefer the OEM wheels.

I was told it was the only blue one but I can't say for sure. It looks real nice in person so I'm sure a few more people will order blue.

I know what you're saying about the wheels. But it's nice to see someone mod an SLR.

Tee hee, that would have been great.

As for the wheels, I think they look a bit too plain for the SLR imo. If I could afford one, i'd have a set custom made.

Sweet looking ride anyhow

Did you get to "test drive" the SLR and make sure the wheels are ok? Those wheels must've added what another 20-30hp?

Looks sweet. I really like dark blue on a Mercedes.

Here's my blue SLR.

Well, the guys from Meridian Automotive did come down with one of the owners Renn'd SL55 but no SLR. Perhaps next time if I give them some more time to prepare.

No, the owner is an older man...haven't met him yet. He comes from "old money" I believe and also owns Arm & Hammer. The guys at Meridian do a lot of work for him, he's a real car nut apparently.

Ha, no, didn't get to road test it. I've done plenty of road tests on SLR's but the owner of this one only wanted one of our Tech Specialists driving it.

Next mod is lowering. I'll see if I can post some before & after photos of that too.

All SLR's come stock with coilovers.

This is a cut-away of the rear end...

I like that blue on it. I've only seen driving around here are the silver and black and a Brabus (black) Love to see it lowered.

Nice

These wheels look absolutely hot. I am a big fan of OEM wheels on SLR, but the HREs are looking great. I agree, it is nice to see someone modding SLR.

about the only change I'd prefer to the OEM wheels is the width. A SLR caliber car needs at least 335s in the back

You should lower the rear end like the Brabus, thats the only exterior complaint i have of the SLR, sits to high in the rear.
