This is the only SLR now listed. Was it clear to everyone that the roadster replaced the coupe?

Yep, the factory can't build both the coupe and convertible at the same time.

If this plays out anything like the original 300SL, the coupes will be the collector's items and the roadsters will be poor cousins. $300-350K for one of the last of the new coupes in inventory might turn out to be a brilliant investment.

The convertible is a much better driving experience than the coupe.

I don't think so.

These cars have a lot of specialized parts and are very expensive to repair and maintain. As the warranties get closer to expiration the prices declines will accelerate sharply.

it wasn't the conv, but jay leno was driving his slr yesterday. beautiful car.....

I just saw a Gold SLR with a beige soft top a couple of day's ago at the dealership and the supercar/roadster looks way better with the topdown.

The SLR coupe is definatley nicer to look at and is more sleek but both are extremely gorgeous in person and it would be a hard decision for a potential customer in which SLR format to choose.
