SLS now affordable?
I did not think they would be close to $150K so soon.
Seems like a great deal with 5K miles in Lemans Red.

Hopefully they come down a bit more after the winter...

They've been in this range for a little while now; specifically, 2011's. I think with some negotiation, you could get a sub-15k mile 2011 example for under $140k. Truly a bargain supercar, in my opinion. Granted, I never thought they were overpriced in the first place, but still, $140k-$150k sure is appealing.

MMMMM now let me see. Ah yes the SL63 is faster and with a tweak as
fast as a black, better looking and a tin convertible, and very much
cheaper.... say no more, looks great in white with black wheels and carbon pack.

If you want cheaper you can buy a SL63. SLS is a different class from the SLS. and is priced accordingly.

I posted this in another thread:
I was actually told by a salesman at MB of Boston that they had a 2011 silver SLS with low miles they couldn't get rid of for a while that they finally let go for 127k.

With the improved software in the GT (and, obviously, the upcoming Black Series), the early SLS's took a significant hit.

Too many cars were produced.....it is not as if Mercedes doesn't make enough cars......if they want a halo car to lead the line, they need to produce less - that simple.......SL 65 Black Series is good example of not too many, only 175 for US market, and that one may be best relative to holding value over time as far as AMG cars........The McLaren Mercedes was limited production and may be good as far as holding value in about 20 years but not now...too many SLSs were built.......good for us preowned fanatics...

Sorry to burst your bubble but an SL63 in nowhere near as fast as an SLS. Not sure where you are getting your facts but they are wrong. I have driven both cars on the track at AMG Driving Academy and the SLS is the fastest car in their fleet, second fastest is the C63 Black Series. Even if you are just talking straight line acceleration the SLS is over 2/10ths quicker in the 1/4 mile than a new SL63

This thread cracks me up, the term "affordable" is a relative word. $150k is considered affordable for OP, but for others it is completely out of reach. Even a $75k C63 might not be "affordable" for some. I personally think the SLS BS is very "affordable" and actually a bargain at $285k.
