Weistec/Klassen Wheel SLS Black Series SEMA/Optima Invitational Build

Just thought I would share with everyone. My SLS BS is at Weistec having their SLS 3.0L supercharger system installed along with a few other goodies. Klassen Wheels is also stepping up to the plate in a BIG way by getting a set of of newly designed wheels sized, built and custom finished in under 2 weeks, wheels are going to be SICK, Klassen worked with Wesitec to bring a wheel design that was thought up by myself and Steve at Weistec to real life. The car will be on display at the SEMA show in Vegas in a few weeks and I will be racing it in the Optima Invitation race at Spring Mountain Raceway the day after SEMA ends.

I ended up having to drive the car from Chicago to Vegas due to no auto transport companies being able to get the car out there in time. Once in Vegas one of the Wesitec guys flew out to meet me and drove the car the last 250 miles to Wesitec in Santa Ana yesterday afternoon, that is service with a smile

The guys from Klassen where there first thing this morning and had the car up on jacks taking measurments and test fitting test wheels so they could head back to their shop and get going on the final product.

While Wesitec has the car they are also having the ugly orange calipers repainted, I am going with gloss black with red lettering. I am having them paint the ugly raw aluminum gas door body color.

Weistec has a very special blower going on the car for me, I hope to have some pics of it from to post very soon.

This will not be my most powerfull Wesitec build but I am sure it will turn out to be the prettiest and one of the quickest around a road course.

Pics to follow

Here is a little teaser photo of what is "special" about this install from Weistec.

Those are the Weistec SLS intake runners, they did a batch in red. I think they did a red blower unit for me as well
There are a few other "specials" that are taking place on this build.

Becuase my most powerfull AMG makes nearly 1400hp on full boost and is hardly drivable let alone streetable. 750-800whp in the 3400 pound SLS BS will be plenty, if somebody builds one faster than mine then I will up the ante.

So you're CLK63 Blk Series listed in ur Sig, per your earlier posts makes 1000 rwp on dedicated E85 Tune which is insane in it's own right But now you're saying on FULL boost it makes 1400 hp is that a Crank HP #? Or are you actually making 1400 rwhp This might help explain you demolishing ALL those 900-1100+ rwp cars @ that runway event? Or am I missing something?

Again epic taste in mods/cars keep @ it!!

On E85 and an aggressive pulley it makes about 1200 at the wheels. Tested it at that power level at the track (1/8)once and it was undrivable, smoked tires the entire 1/8th mile. We went back to the drawing board and changed the rear gear and suspension and now we thunk it is ready. Going to MIR with it in about three weeks. Going to start out at MIR with a larger pulley making less boost and then ramp up. On paper car should go high 8's but I don't rely on what the paper says, the onky paper I care about is a slip.

Back at airstrip events I ran this year car was only running at 1000whp level. I have not done any airsrips with the higher hp pullies.

Car has a full NHRA cage and parachute now as well.

Sweet Baby Mosas! This is unreal dataAny dynos? Don't dubt you 1 bit but you own the most powerful NON fake Nitrous powered MB on the planet period! This is w/Weistec fully built 63 motor/full boost/ E85 = 1200 rwhp (still incredible power but not 1400 rwp) for Bragging rights factorrring in 18% Drive Train loss that = 1463 Crank HP! If ever in CA I'll buy ALL the drinks/women/etc for a HELL ride in that BEAST

My plan for 2014 includes adding a 63 based AMG to my meek stable & having Weistec throw in the "Kitchen Sink Build" Nomenclature open to Weistec Execs

EDIT: Forgot to ask what was your RWTQ @ that 1200 rwhp level??

Yes we have al kinds of dyno charts. Built motor including forged Wesitec pistons, rods, Weistec race port heads, cams, built trans, custom drive shaft, axles, rear-end and a larger tahn currently available to the public Wesitec blower that can make 20psi of boost. Lots of fuel system upgrades too, you should see the size of the fuel lines and fuel pump and injectors. In addition to all the motor, trans and drivetrain mods the frame has been modded, custom built suspension at all four corners, brake mods and the previously mentioned full race cage all help to sure up the chassis.

I am running two lightweight race seats but other than that it is a full interior car, navi, power windows and door locks. I did remove the AC from the car, no real need for that.

Earl was talking about selling his CLK BS as he has started a new project, it has a lot of the same stuf as my car and dynoed at over 1000whp if I am not mistaken. Maybe that would make a nice edition to your collection. Both his CLK and mine are both out at Wesitec in Santa Ana if you want to take a look at either of them.
