Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for an NGT 4.0 (2012 USA spec SLS)
Does anyone have a kits they have installed on a NGT 4.0 I would really like to maintain some of the functionality like this:
1. Skipping tracks forward and back using the buttons on the radio
2. Add a touch screen without just putting an overlay see this example
3. Wireless connection
So far I have found the following options but they all seem to require the head unit to be running in AUX mode
The Fitting Bay
IDCore
kremersino
Mozart electronics
naviplus
Thank you in advance for the help

Interested in this as well. I had this Carplay kit added to a 2012 E350 and it worked "ok" but I am not sure the same system will work. https://www.carprokit.com/collection...d-dhl-shipping

Apologies for restarting a thread thats a year old….. Does anyone have a recommendation for a reputable car audio/multimedia installer in the San Francisco Bay Area? Im looking to have an Apple Carplay module installed in my 2013 SLS AMG GT. After seeing this vid (at 4:45), I want to get the same kit for the OEM-like CarPlay integration for my 2013. Thank you in integrations

Check out our this carplay module:

The installation is very easy, just plug and play, you can Do-It-Yourself.
We provide you with what you need for the installation: an installation diagram on how to plug in the module on your car and a video as a reference of the installation process.
if you do not feel fully confident about DIY installation, and considering the value of your time and to smooth the process of you enjoying your Apple Carplay and Android Auto as fast as possible, we do encourage a professional to install the product for you (e.g. You can choose Professionally installed with a Pro Shop or Carputech Verified Installer: Check out our Installer Locator here).

Confu11, I had my CarPlay installed this afternoon. While I’m obviously still learning how to operate all the CarPlay features, thus far, all the OEM functions are working as b4, and the CarPlay functions, such as Bluetooth, Google & Apple Maps, message, Spotify, phone are working fine. The installer’s workmanship seems good; they taped up all impacted areas before starting the install and when I picked up the car, it has no scratches…., hahaha. I'll spend more time on the CarPlay system in the coming days, and will likely accumulate a few operations related questions for the installer.
should you want any specific questions on the installer, PM me.

The brand name is Kremersino, $313, including shipping cost to California. When ordering, specify for SLS NTG4.0, and with usb cable, so you can also charge your phone, instead of the cig lighter plug. The usb port can also be used for any future software update to the CarPlay module.

Is this hard to install or should I just get a shop to do it?
