ok, someone explain this whole smart car thing to me. Penske is the sole importer? and he will use a dealer network to sell them? how are the smarts that are already here getting here? we have a used car dealer in portland oregon who has a crap load of them 05's and 06's did he get them from smart or canada or something?
I'm going to buy one for the heck of it but wanted to find out more first.

We have a couple of them running around the city in Seattle. The things are neat as hell, and have to be an absolute joy in the city (easy to park, maneuverable, and easy on the fuel). I have no idea as to where they were purchased, but they have all been WA state plates.
