I'm not a big fan of Taffel after they took 3 hours for an alignment - while I waited. Stein Automotive in Middletown did right by me the one time I went there.

New to the whole MB thing. Owned a VW for 14 years. The crooks (Carter & Anderson) I bought the MB from keep telling me that Taffel is not reputable. Not sure who to trust at this point. River City imports told me I had an $2200 oil leak (oil cooler seal). The dealer I bought it from took it to Grossman Imports (which is where it is now). They fixed a $162 oil leak supposedly. It's the wifes car, and she is reluctant to drive a leaker.

I took it back to Grossman for a warning light. I posted the warning light on this thread, if anyone knows what it is? Grossman didn't know. https://mbworld.org/forums/m-class-w...ml#post7059180

That's what Grossman said. But curiously, it appeared right after I checked the tire pressure menu and got an error on that menu. The River City Import guy said it was a TPMS sensor warning, but didn't know which tire.

As far as an oil leak, gaskets aren't usually very difficult to replace, unfortunately depending on the gasket that needs replaced it could be a ton of labor removing this and that to access the leaky gasket. 90% of your $2200 leaky oil cooler gasket is most likely labor removing and replacing parts. I could probably help you with something like that. Feel free to send me a text (305)879-9195 I'm local in St. Mathews.

Follow up on the warning light in the related post. The check engine light came on, took it back to Grossman. He said the error was low DEF, but the tank was full. Cleared the code, and it didn't come back. When I picked up the car, not only was the check engine light not on, the yellow squiggly in the right corner of the Multi-function screen was gone. Maybe it was a warning light after all.
