Attach Images....Click to view

Dear Moderators,

Since the switch of the new server, I noticed that SOME of the attached images needed to be clicked to view. How come? I really like the old server which the attachments will automatically shown once the I click the thread. Anyways thanks for hearing me.

I understand that when I DON'T log in, I can't view any attachments, but when I do log in, I still have to click it to view.

for example, in this post, "Tri State Meet from Jan. 20th: Pics...Thoughts...Feedback...Post Here!!"

https://mbworld.org/forums/showpost....&postcount=151

I see:

Attached Images
File Type: jpg Smart.jpg (114.7 KB, 134 views)
File Type: jpg Smart - rear.jpg (67.7 KB, 123 views)
File Type: jpg Smart Brabus rim.jpg (97.8 KB, 125 views)

When I click on each file, a separate window pops out and shows the image.

I see the change. It's much better than just having the name of the file, but it's still not the same as the old days when large photos automatically show up without thumbnails. However, I think the new change is good; this should speed up the post and no need to wait for large files to pop up or load.

Thanks again!

I know, I think the old attachments stay the same, but if you look at new attachments that are posted in the past hours, they have little thumbnails of the photos instead of the file name. We still have to click to see in full size though.

I host all of mine myself so they are always full size. Do you have this option?

yea...I do...but I just hate the hassle of having to host it. Don't get me wrong, I do that sometime on different forums, but I just think it's easier to attach images through the server.

I hear ya, it is a pain sometimes. I finally got a little SAN at home so I drop my images on that now and it is much easier.

ok,
so what happened to all the PICS i uploaded 3 years ago.
I go back to some of those posts, and all i see is RED X box.

I for one, do NOT like this new thumbnail image thing. You have to click on each image link every single time, and then close it. Just two more clicks per image, when before I could just see everything at once. What's the deal ???

Very very inconvenient. Not a true web browsing experience.
In my opinion, MBWorld just took a step (big step) backwards.
