NEED INDY SHOP RECOMMENDATION HOUSTON AREA.

Man, DFW is showing us up down here. They own the Texas forum section. Where's the south coast representation?

Anyway need .a recommendation for a good indy shop if anyone in Houston hears this. I know there's no shortage of shops around. I just want an honest reliable one.

Yea WTF? I'm going to go see 1st stop Autohaus. He specializes in Audi and VW but he's given me some good quotes on a few things I need to get done and has really good reviews.

I'll find someone. Finding a trustworthy mechanic is something I've always been able to do. I know enough about people and mechanical work to know if someone is good or not. If money or time isn't a worry (which both are for me) Jerry at British European Motors in Richmond is good. He's an odd duck but I like him. But not the cheapest or the fastest. The search continues. Maybe will get some info at the next Cars and Coffee.

Hi.

wondering if you ever found a good mechanic. I’m in Katy too and have an ‘03 SL 500 that needs some love.

JC Auto Tech on Westpark. I’ve taken both my MB’s there in the past 10 years. He is sharp about Mercedes, level-headed and fair priced. Among other things he repaired the Active Suspension on my R230 with correct diagnosis the first time and well under my budget price. I’ve known for a while, but wanted to get his permission first before I mentioned him here. He’s a busy guy.

Oh perfect. I’m gonna need to develop some sort of relationship with one haha. Hope I don’t have to visit often though.
