Independent Mechanic in New York Area?
Hi all,
just bought a '11 GLK 350 for my daily commute between NYC and Westchester - it seems like the shocks (or shock absorbers) need to be replaced.
Does anyone know a good independent mechanic in the area of New York, ideally further north around Westchester?

I can recommend an extremely knowledgeable and honest/ kind mechanic who is located in Long Island. He has clients come from all over, if you're willing to drive out, it isn't too far.
The shop is:
J & P Auto Repair Inc.

Bells isn't so great.
I wasn't so impressed with bells. I went there to get a quote for some service on my bends. They acted like they were doing me a favor. Essentially asked me how much I was willing to spend on the project before giving me a quote. Their shop is also extremely disorganized. Old cars sitting outside for years. Doesn't look like they really take pride in there work so maybe they have experience Mercedes but far from my deal in terms of a mechanic that I could trust
