This is nice and should improve some good Hp ! Please post dyno different.
Very interesting. I rather have this than CF tubes.

Very nice and the price is reasonable. Any increased supercharger whine noise with these?

Thanks for the interest guys, The car already hit the rollers to test but we had an issue with our af/s so we had to cut it short. IT will be back on next week stay tuned. There is no doubt these will help airflow the stock tube necks down to almost 1/2 of what our tubes "OD" is.

Is a Dyno really going to be able to show any noticeable gains? These are made for increased airflow to the motor. A Dyno has minimal air flow dependeding on the size of your fan...

^ agreed. Unless you have some big a$$ fans that can duplicate a run from say 40 mph to 130+, you are not going to get the same airflow on the dyno vs a true run.
In addition, 6061 alloy is awesome at heat transfer which is not what you want at least not on a dyno. 6061 will absorb engine heat like a ****. You want to minimize retention time so the intake air does not get a chance to grab any heat. this would happen on a true run.
I guess bottom line is if you can show gains on a dyno, you will have massive gains on actual runs depending upon DAs.

Thanks CuRt!
That was a little more detail response than mine

Albeit these will probably help with ram air volume, on a dyno you should still see an increase because it'll be easier for the SC to draw in the air with the larger volume pipes.

Hey, was just thinking. Those tubes are mill finish right? they look mill to me which means they are extruded and then no additional finish. If you want to, send me a few test pieces and I will slap a mil or so of anodic (anodized) coating on them. Anodic coating has way more resistance to heat than mill finish. The other thing we could do from an aesthetic stand point is run them black anodize.
If you have any interest in playing around with the idea, shoot me a PM.
All testing would be on my dime. We need to get more HP out of these monsters.

The Dyno is going to show minimal gains if any. The main thing is the fact that the s/c is going to be able to induct air into the motor faster, at a greater rate of speed and or increased volume. They are kind of like the "TTM" scoops we all know they help and they bring cosmetics to the table as well.

As Jim said, we've been using the smooth 3" aluminum pipes for years on the Crossfires... Some 3" silicon connectors and you're all set. The soft aluminum can easily be trimmed... I can get both pipes for <$50 shipped.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/CXRacing-3-O...e4dc7a&vxp=mtr
I'm sure with the E55, the clearances are smaller so the above pipes couldn't be used in its full length. But, it's the same stuff. Not overly expensive. The ability to connect to OEM inlets must be the novelty of these.
See attached pics of the pipes in use... painted them myself with engine bay paint. Cost to me was $60
