W210 E55 project update
..........In November last year I posted pics of my W210 E55 projuects. I got some constructive responses from forum members and when updating the car, I took account of some of those inputs. Here is the finished product. I'll post some before pictures first.

Car ran 11.9 @ 116 earlier. HP and torque numbers were 431 and 450. Since then I have done the following performance modifications:
1. custom torque converter
2. Kleemann sport camshafts
3. custom 50mm Kleemann supercharger pulley
4. Custom quad exhausts with spare tire well delete
5. Engine bore
...........current HP and torque number 440RWHP and 506Lbft Rear wheel torque. Very pleased with the torque. Translates to 550HP and 632Lbft of torque at the crank.
...........new 1/4 mile and trapspeed figures pending.

But i guess since you're not at sea level that's probably why you're getting only 550hp? Your custom pulley how much smaller is it from the original and how much boost are you running? Also with the engine bore did you gain anything from that?
..........non W210 E55's are not an appropriate comparison since the C55 and the SLK55's have higher baseline HP of 365 which will bring them closer to Kleemann's promised land. But torque is what really matters at this stage. The car ran 11.9 with 450Rear wheel torque. With 506Rear Wheel torque car should be comfortably in the high 11's consistently........which was my plan, hence the torque converter.
.........the pulley is 10mm smaller. The boost level is about 8 pounds.
........As far as engine bore........best description is to call it cylinder bore. Displacement was not increased, rather the smoothness of the cylinder surface was improved. No incresed Hp was expected. Idea is to get the car consistently in the 11's.

................a friend of mine pointed this out to me today. The gain from the cylinder bore was actually 10RWHP since previous dyno was 430RWHP and new Dyno shows 440RWHP. I am not sure how much it contributed to the incredible 506LBft of rear wheel torque, the highest ever in a W210. Even Kleemanns advertised torque figure for an S8 (which is considered high) is only 450LBft of rear wheel torque. I was so amazed by this, the car was re-dynoed again and got the same numbers. This is why you see two overlapping graphs on the dynograph I posted. Needless to say, I am very pleased. Off to the track when the weather gets cooler.

.........I have done street races with friends that have stock W211 E55's and beat them easily. This was last december before the torque converter etc. No flaming, I like the W211 E55!!!, Its just that in addition to all the other stuff my car also has a 3.07 diff so there is not much the car won't beat off the line. I do not personally know anyone that has a W211 E55 K2, so I have not raced any. It will be interesting to see.
