Is there any special coolant our car need or can we just buy Prestone brand??

To my knowledge from my days with my SECs, you can never use regular coolant on a MB radiator, only MB coolant fluid . I am not sure about flushing though, I would think that distilled water would be OK for that.

Flushing with distilled water is fine. The coolant used in MB's is actually just zerex 05 or something like that. Do a search and you will find 23,395 posts about coolant.

After searching many many posts here and on mercedesshop I felt confident that Zerex G-05 was the coolant to use. Its cheaper then the stealership and meets MB's requirements.

Yup, Zerex is good and you can try the shop called EZ Lube. I was surprised to see that they had it when I pulled in. It's a bit more money but it's what is recommended. Btw, it's like a yellow color so it can't be mistaken...

I purchased it at Autozone. I'm sure if you call around some of your local autoparts stores someone should sell it or be able to order it.
