Problems with the rear end swaying.

I notice it the most at higher speeds. The back end will sway over bumps or around corners. Could it be the shocks or something else?

Thanks!

Define swaying... I think mine has the same problem, well at least there is a sound coming from my right side in the back, at every tire rotation I get a sound like there's a plastic bag in there or something's stuck. I was told it was my shock mounts, but who knows.

Well, I haven't heard any noises yet.

It's like driving an old car, like a caddy or an old buick. As soon as I take a turn at higher speeds say 50 mph or more, the rear sways from side to side. There are no tight turns like the good ol days. It is driving me insane...not to mention I don't feel safe on the highway.

Mine does that too. But not like a Caddy... it's more stuck to the ground but you do feel the turn.

It's enough to scare me while doing 100mph. I used to be able to do 130mph no problem.

So what is the problem, and what do we need to fix it??

Are you on stock suspension? Maybe the shocks are finally going out? I'm still on stock suspension with #1 pads and I feel like I'm stuck to the ground, no swaying whatsoever...

I'm assuming I'm on stock suspension..I haven't done anything to them since I've had the car. But I don't want to buy shocks if it isn't the problem...specially since I'm about to get another car.

I know I'm late on this tread but I am having the same swaying on my 2009 e63. So a normal alignment fixed the swaying issue ?
