Anti-roll bars on the E55

I was looking at tirerack and noticed the anti-roll bars for our cars. Has anyone put these on a W210 E55, and are they worth spending the money on them?

I read a few posts about them on here, some saying that they were good and others complained about them. None though did I see about the E55.

Guess it depends on how likely you feel you will get in an accident and roll the vehicle. I personally would never install these on anything other than a convertible.

So they don't do anything for handling?

Lots have tried sway bars and almost all have complained. Poor handling and not worth the money. Just replace shocks and springs and call it a day...

i have heard similar stuff over here in uk.....

if anything the standard Mercedes ones for the E55 are far better that even the uprated ones!!!!!

Well, it isn't what tire rack called them, but I do believe it is what they meant.

This is what I was trying to get to. I figured the E55's are better anyhow and wouldn't need them.

I guess springs and pads would be the way to go.

Thanks for all the responses..

...........I believe that the thickness of the sway bars(AKA anti roll bars) sold by after market vendors for the W210 is exactlly the same as as the oem ones for thw E55 AMG. I knos for sure that this is the case with the Renntech ones.
