E55 ride height
Data for E55:
US model-
Height 1445mm
Weight 1715kg
Tire Fr: 245/40-18 Rr:275/35-18
ROW (rest of world) model-
Height 1411mm
Weight 1710kg
Tire Fr:235/40-18 Rr:265/35-18
Based on the above, it can probably be safely assumed that the weight difference is mostly due to the tire size diff. Tire size differences would probably account for 2-3mm (2.5mm for calc. purpose) height difference.
Since Gregg T. already did his homework and found out that US and ROW E55s only differ in the springs part number (shocks and sway bars are the same), then it can be safely assumed that installing the ROW E55 spring set would lower the US E55 31-32mm (1445mm-1441mm-2.5mm)
So that is the number that I will be shooting for when I installed the Euro E55 spring set on my US E55.
I will be ordering the parts thru somebody in Europe. I am trying to order them with a Victor design steering wheel (if he can get one) otherwise, I'll get the Brabus one.
The Victor design wheel actually looks similar to the Brabus. Difference being on the wood/leather version, the Brabus has the wood covering the whole top and bottom version while Victor only cover the inside protion of the top and bottom circumference which I prefer (less slippery). I would not be surprised if Victor design actually make the Brabus steering.
That looks really nice! But what happens to the buttons on the stock steering wheels?? I mean does the Victor come with their own buttons or how does that work??
Thanks!
BTW: How much are those?

That is the picture of the pre 2000 MB steering wheel. On the newer car, since you do not replace the airbag, you still have the control buttons on the steering wheel.
