URGENT Please help me find Alfie (thebenzbar)
To all forum members,
Alfie, member from this forum who post under the usenamer: thebenzbar sold me his 2001 W210 E55. He had his E55 for sale at eBay and accepted my offer for it. He requested full paymnet via Bank Wire Trasfer after I sent him a deposit via PayPal. He promised me to send the papaerwork and spare key FEDEX overnight after receiving payments and funds clearing in his banck account.
Wire transfer was made last week and I called his bank on 11/10 to confirm the funds clearing into his account. He sent me an email telling me that he had to make a trip in the USA and he was going to be back yesterday Thusday 11/13.
I havenot heard from him since and now his phone number is giving me a message that is no longer a valid number.
If someone know Alfie or could give me any reference from him, I would really appreciate your help. I am very concern about this situation and hope someone can help me.

Bump. I hope your probs get taken care of. I assume if you bought on Ebay/paypal you are protected. I look at buying things on this site's classifieds all the time but have a lot of reservations. People just need to have some honor in their word.

Wow ! Sorry to hear about this.
TheBenzBar also contacted me with an offer for my C36 AMG when it was for sale last month. I just tried the # he left me in his PM and that too was no longer valid.
His email did note that he also had a place in Philly as well as Florida.
I really hope he surfaces, if not, get an attorney stat.

Thank you all members for your help and support. I was able to get a hold of the seller after some days without hearing from him. I already booked the shipping service to bring the car to California. I hope this deal will have a smooth ending soon. I will know by next Wednesday. It is sad when people take advantage of your trust and don't follow their promises. It has been a week since he received payment and he is not following our agreement. I will keep everybody posted by this mean. Again, thank you for your support. YOU GUYS ARE GREAT !!!

I am glad you got hold of him...BUT my advise , tell us where the car is being shipped from and see if one of the members is in the same town and willing to check the car for you before it is shipped....once it is shipped and you accept delivery , thats it if you know what I mean.

Due to some trouble arranging shipping with the seller, Max (maxworks) was kind enough to go and pick up the car from the seller's house and keep it safe for me inside his garage.
