Does this look good to everyone else? I really don't know the difference. But would really love to buy and do this mod!

Any thoughts?

thats the proper hardware for W210 E55 X-pipe, yes. Just make sure the piping is aluminized steel and not mild steel (won't rust).

Including shipping thats not a bad price, if you want to haggle thats up to you but its fair price ... bump

Glad to have help facilitate the transaction, you got the right components and at a good price, it can cost you up to $100 after all the shipping charges. good buy.

Mark Cummings and yourself did help with my decision. Thanks.

Question. When I go to install it. What should I tell the person. Anything special? Should I remove anthing? 2nd cat, resonator, etc. I'm new to all of this...

Thanks again.

Yours truely,
Clueless!

just have them remove the resonator and put in the 45 degree mandrel pipes at first and then the X-pipe behind them (the 45 mandrels prepare the exhaust piping to be straight parallel with the rest of the system, then you just put in the x-pipe).

Make sure they do a full bead weld and there are no exhaust leaks. Shouldn't take them more than 1-2 hours tops to do.

We don't recommend removing it completely, if you want you can upgrade it with high flow 200-cell cats for improved performance & sound while still remaining legal and maintaining clean emissions.

They are only $95 on ebay each, you need two of them. Labor should be real cheap, especially if you do it when you do the X-pipe. heres the link....

hope that helps.

PULLED THE TRIGGER!!

Ok, just ordered the high flow cats. $190 shipped. Can't wait to get this mod done!! I'm so excited!

So, if I understand the exhaust system correctly. It's headers to downpipes to 1st cat, to secondary cat (which will be replaced with the high flow cats) to resonator (which will be replaced with the x-pipe and mandrels) then muffler?

Let me know if i'm wrong, or where exacty everything should go..

TYIA!
