KLEEMANN SUPERCHARGER PICS&PROJECT in my W210 E55 AMG
Received my Kleemann S/C on Friday, and the thing looks absolutely great
Going to install it in middle of March or beginning of April when the snow has let go of our country

After doing some research and asking a few guys here (Thanks Jeff.B and BlackBenz) I'm going to have a company make a bigger "heat exchanger" and skip the small black one that came in the Kleemann package. A firend of mine has done this and he lowered the intake temperature with over 20 degrees celsius

When all is mounted the car will be running:
Kleemann Eaton S/C
Kleemann Headers
Full Exhaust with 2 race cats
99 Octane fuel
Looking for 500 HP at the crank and I'm happy

Some pics for you. I'll keep you updated

Does your come with the E430 intake box? I think the airbox is restricted and not a good design for the SC. I place a temp sensor in the airbox and while sitting in traffic and drive threw the temp can get up to 160 degree
it cool down once you start moving above 30mph. Good Luck and hope you won't run into any installing problem.

Yes, but the problem you have with the heating is due to the small black heat exchanger that comes with this kit, and not because of the single air box. A bigger custom made heat exchanger will solve this problem because it will cool the water in a much better way then the small black Kleemann stock heat exchanger.
At higher speeds a twin-airbox will probably be a better solution serving the engine with cooler air. But again, it probably won't solve the heating issue of the charger when driving in slow traffic.

But I still think a part of this will be solved with a bigger heat exchanger, cause if you have a better circulation and a powerful pump you will get the temp on the water to decrease and there by the temp on/in the charger to decrease and finally a much cooler system even when you are not moving and no air is passing the exchanger. Just my 2 cents
I'm going to buy a set of those twin-air boxes and have them installed instead of the single air-box. VRP hade a great price on them including K&N filters! Next problem will be the engine cover? Guess the E430 covers won't fit? Well, that will be sorted out later on...

I just bought a set of twin-air boxes from the E55 Kompressor with K&N filters and think that will be a better solution then the single airbox that came in the Kleemann kit.
I will also have a company make a bigger/better heat exchanger to get the temp down. I think these to mods will make this kit really "come to live"

Heat isn't a good thing, and I hope and now from a friend this will reduce the temp with about 20 degrees celsius.

And the "500" prefix, is that a 55 engine or is it a 500E Engine?

i wonder if vrp's w211 cf airbox would fit in a w210
The reason for the wait is that we have winter here now
So a couple of weeks and we can start with the installation? Yes, the VRP W211 boxes are on the way home to me, and they will fit with a few modifications.
