YAY OR NAY?

I'm thinking of painting my wheels gloss black with polished lips. My buddy photoshopped it for me to get an idea. I like it!

What do ya think?

Nay. When the thrill is gone, you may want your rare $3,000+ silver AMG Monoblock II back. I miss mine, but some crackhead stole them from my storage place.

$3k?? The rims are that much for a set?? Or that the price when they were new?

Yay, but buy a clone set and paint those. Keep your originals stock.

Yeah, if you have to replace them, our wheels are rediculiously expensive. It is almost $3000 just for the wheels.

AMG
Nay... they never look as good as you think they will black. Plus technically they are obsolete, AMG doesn't even make them anymore. Tirerack only lists them but if you look closely they do not sell full sets, they only sell one at a time and most of the time they are redone wheels not truly new wheels b/c AMG stopped making them ages ago.

Don't waste a perfectly good set of AMGs... would be a true shame

looks nice, but i think the best thing to do is get another set. Maybe replicas, or some other wheels. You'll can also keep those as winter wheels or something.

I agree, paint replicas, the replicas are dirt cheap, you can get a set shipped for $400-500, go that route.

Thanks fellas, all of you make valid points. I may keep them stock, maybe even refinish them down the line. I rather move up to 19's for the summer anyway. I'll just get some sweet black with chrome deep dish wheels. I even updated my sig. lol

Thanks for the input!

See, that's what I was thinking. I can always go back. Plus, I currently have a few scratches on them. Sanding then painting them black will make it less visible. I don't know, i'm 50/50 on doing it. I guess i'll decide once I drop it.....

do not do that it will make your wheels look smoler they will look like 16'' or less and after you pain them black you will have to send blast them to repaint them silver again bicause the paint will be to thik if you paint over the black paint silver to go back and it will chip of and it will look agly
so my opineon is dont do that bay an other wheels or stay with origenal AMG

sory for my english
