Well sunday afternoon at around 1:30pm. Unfortunatly the accident was my fault so it sucked even worse rear ended a dodge caravan the car in front of her was making a left in to a gas station right of the intersection i looked to my left to get in the other lane by then it was to late i looked forward and i was in the rear of her car i got the news today that they were going to total out the car which sucks but at the same time i can get a new car. Although i loved and love my 210 E55 but i guess i can't do anything anymore damage doesn't look that bad ill post pics i did'nt think it was a lose but the insurance did so kind of a sad day my first benz did'nt expect it to end this way . So now im in the process of looking for ether a SL or a w211 E55 any other suggestions. Also would like to thank Omey from AMS just purchased the header and the pully stage 2 and installed it about a week ago did'nt get to much time to play with it but i must say the car pulled harder and i definitly felt the power even before the ecu adapted to the car plus craftmanship was very good. Anyway just thought i would share my ****tly story pics will be up soon. Hope to still check in on the forum

belive it or not they totaled the car out

Dam, that's one of my biggest fears. To hit, or get hit w/ a total loss. Glad to hear you're ok though. As far as the mods go. Can't you sell them? I mean the headers, pulley...IF they're in great shape? Get some of your money back...

That really sucks, but the most important thing is that you're okay. A car can always be replaced as it's going to be, so with that said, good luck in finding your next Benz!

Hello bnzuovr,

First off we would like to say that it is good to hear you are safe and no personal injury was sustained. I am sorry for your loss, it really was an amazing car. We also thank you for your kind words. If there is anything we can do for you simply let us know, we are always there to help our customers.

Just a possible suggestion.... You could get a CLK55 AMG now, its same drivetrain just 300lbs lighter so if you are looking to make a change that could be a possible replacement if insurance really won't let you have the car back.

Best Regards,
~AMS~

Wow, that seems like rather minor damage.

Well, it may look minor but look at it from an insurance company stand point...

New quarter panels, new hood, new bumper, new grilles, new headlights, main front cross member (and most probably frame damage as well). add up the costs and it just doesn't make sense for the insurance to pay out all that money and then on top of repairing it also giving diminished value compensation... its easier just to total the car from their perspective.

Sounds good, the new E55s have collapsed in price so now is a good time to jump on one of those as well. If you need performance pulley for it let us know. Thanks and have a nice day.

That does suck, I hit a raccoon on the Elgin-O'hare doing about 50 2years ago. I had cracked the bumper cover visibly, but it did $5800 worth of damage. I bent the lower radiator core support and it pushed the radiator into the fan and fan clutch. These cars may be cheaper now, but repairs will still be just as expensive. At least you are ok, that is the most important thing.

Nick

PS: I am interested in the roof spoiler if you can get it back.
