need help with my windshield wiper 1st setting will not work
when i switch on to the lowest setting on the wiper, wiper wipes one time and stays still so i have to use higher settings in even light rain which is annoying
anyone know what the issue can be here? Does w210 e55 2000 have a rain sensor or speed sensor wired into the wiper system ?

On the wiper issue Im thinking it might be due to a faulty rain sensor,,
anyone know where its located?

I had the same issue when I got my E55. Here's what worked for me. The rain sensor is located above the rear view mirror, you can see it from the outside of the car,it's blue in color. I used rubbing alcohol and glass cleaner on the outside of the windshield and it solved the problem. Perhaps a small piece of debris on the glass is screwing up the sensor? Good luck!

Glad you got some responses on this forum. I posted the same exact query on the "other" forum and hardly a response. Can't figure it out.
But here's what I've determined so far. Either the glass is dirty or your sensor may not be making proper contact with the glass from the back.
On mine, it looks like the windshileld was replaced and it wasn't reattached properly.
The reason why it wipes once and then nothing happens is that you're activating the wiper and then it's waiting to be triggered by raindrops on the glass.

What if you dump a bucket of water on the sensor?
