rear blind help needed

I hardly use my rear blind but last week when the sun was low and behind it would not work. I pulled it up about an inch and wiggled it, still not working then the next day and since it now goes up and down fine.... well almost. I now get a situation where the material gathers. I had assumed that the material was spring loaded like a roller blind but maybe its motor fed and by pulling it its noe out of sync. Anybody got any ideas how to reset?

I have no idea how to reset the roller but would love to know! When I roll mine down at nite, sometimes it bunches up and then i just roll it up a little till it's not bunched up and then roll it down slowly. Sometimes it takes a few tries but it usually rolls right up.

You got two arm that open like sissor, connected to the end is small slide that run between the guide tracks. The track is greased with some clear looking grease. When the grease dry up the arm doesn't slide smoothly and bunch up the shade. And the motor is a very powerful motor and it will snap the arm in half if you force it to open. So next time you have the blind up all the way just grease the track.

I had to remove the whole assembly to replace one of the arm that broke 2 inches from the bottom. It a pain in the butt to remove it. MBZ don't sell replace parts so you have to buy the whole assembly. You do not want to know how much they charge for the rear blind assy.

And just in case you wanted to know, $1451.40 list, with $406.00 labor to replace.

Peter's suggestion is well worth the effort.

Good luck.

any recommends on the grease, I would guess a light one but I don't want it to spread to the fabric

~Sorted !

Just gone out with some Castrol LM grease and whilst carefully applying the whole system then seized. I got it working but the fabric would not retract at all. Anyway after some poking around I found a rubber strip with two lugs fouling the mechanism. After removing it all worked fine. The rubber strip fits on one of the arms facing into the car. Once replaced everything hunky dory - thank you very much for taking the time to reply

Any guidance on removal of the entire units for adjust? Mine is sort of jammed and I was reluctant to poke it too much. Does it come out from above or below? Any tips before I start digging?
