some more murdering out...
i haven't forgetten you W210 E55 guys!!! i still have love for this car! 
since buying the E63, my old E55 felt left out, so i did some blacking out to her as well.
had the wheels sitting around for some time, so i decided to painted them and slap em' back on with new rubber. flat black on the lip, black elswhere. I had some 20mm spacers sitting around too so i put those on the rear. the front hub was too big for the 10mm spacer i had so i will be machining down the spacer so it will fit.
Also, had the tails and side markers spray tinted black and the front grill painted black. now both the 63 and the 55 match. no side by side though, the e63 is with my pops for the time being.
Sorry for the dirty car... it sits outside now...
notice the wide stance. looks even better in person.

Looks nice, love a black E55! I'm looking to do the same once I buy the new E55 of the newer E63 (If bank account lets me!)
The grille is easy bro. Open your hood and you'll see the screws for them, the grill simply pops out.
I gave it a good sanding to rough out all the surfaces, then a couple of blasts of primer and 3 coats with the spray and you're golden!

With the car that blacked out I think the chrome star doesn't fit. Perhaps a flat badge? Also as others have said it would look even better with a drop and maybe polished lips or a time attack stripe to break up the black of the rims just a bit.

Like the blacked out look, agree with others about removing the star, maybe a star grill in black?, definately needs lowering to add to the menacing image. I think those black wheels makes it look like a seventies cop car with out hub caps. What about thin spoke alloys 20" in a light blue picking of your tinted windows? Anyway thumbs up from me

nope, just wanted to do some simple blacking out. not spending anymore money on the E55 now that i got the e63 to mod up!
