Have your radio code ready. You may also get an ABS/ESP/BAS code when you reconnect; just turn the steering wheel all the way left then right. Also, expect to reset your windows; four seconds in the up position should do the trick. And, yes, your ECU will reset to OEM specs; you will feel the difference. Good luck.

remember to hook up POSITIVE terminals first... THEN negative when you install the new battery (remove in reverse order).

if you have aftermarket, then no problem at all as far as radio code. Just do 2-3 full turns of the steering wheel (lock to lock) left to right and it will automatically turn off.

Make sure the key is out when you disconnect and connect.

Reset the windows, sunroof, and ABS, as described.

The system is really picky about the ignition when removing or adding power. I think it has to do with the security module that keeps track of what keys are linked to the car.

Yes

Turn the wheel all the way right, then all the way left, and the lights will go out.

The window will "forget" where the top and bottom are. Meaning auto open and auto close won't work. First take the window all the way down (don't use the one-touch auto-down feature, just hold the button half way). Keep holding the button for 5 seconds. Then take it all the way up (again, push the button only half way, don't use the auto up feature). Keep holding the button for 5 seconds once it's fully up. You'll hear a click. Now the window has "remembered" where the top and bottom are and auto-up/down will work. Repeat for all four windows. For the sunroof, hold it in the up/vent position for 5 seconds.
