Need Assistance

Hey fellas,

I've been getting a rattle front my front left when I hit bumps, also, it just doesnt feel tight. I would like to do a minor overhaul of my front end; bushings, etc...

What else should I replace. Can you help me make a list of parts that I should order and where I may find them for a good price?

Thank you in advance!

I would say, sway bar bushings and links, tie rods, ball joints, control arm busings and repacking your wheel bearings, to start your list.

+1. The day I got my car, I changed all that plus a few more unrelated (all fluid changes, service B, etc.) items because I wanted it back in as new condition as possible, even if some of the related parts were semi ok. Also, you never really know 100% how the previous owner drove, maintained, etc. the car, so it gives me a new starting point. Hope that helps.

Sounds good, and probably in a fairly good order to tackle them.

Or, put the car on ramps, get underneath, grab various suspension bits, and tug to see if they are loose or make noise.

Ball Joints & the entire tie-rod assembly (which includes the endlinks) will usually get rid of majority of the play out of the front steering. Anything more then that would most likely be upper control arms (which is more expensive & more difficult to replace and is usually a last resort).

Hope that helps.

Ok, what the difference here, besides the price of course? Why is one so much cheaper than the other?

Could you list out the parts...I'm also very interested to see recommended parts. Thanks.
