Valve cover gaskets?

Does it really take 6+ hours to replace the valve cover gaskets? Anyone have DIY?
Thanks in advance!

That sounds more like a quote for a head gasket.

You probably don't need to replace them if they are leaking. First, see if the bolts are loose and retighten and clean the oil. Only if they are already tight or if they keep leaking do they really need to be changed.

There are also two issues. The valve covers have a gasket. On top of them in the back, there are breather covers. These do not have a gasket, but instead are sealed with liquid gasket. If these leak, you just need new liquid gasket, not an actual part.

^ I was thinking to replace them anyways, since it's not an expensive fix. I still got to do my spark plugs .... lol
