I stopped by a local garage had them lift and look at it , stated spring perch seems intact and solid still . So i figure might as well replace springs , but i cant find any new OEM for life of me anywhere only aftermarket . Dont really want togo aftermarket but seems i might have to .BTW this garage is not MB certified and i heard MB dealer will do complimentary inspections so might take it up the and get it checked out and get a quote and what not ..
Thanks , i think id prefer to throw some new springs as most i have seen used have close to 100k miles on them and rather not spend for install and have them go bad in near future . But definetly let me know if u come across . Cant find any OEM on the net , will see how much dealer wants when i take it in for inspection .. Thanks again

I suggest aftermarket springs for performance, I have the Vogtlands and the ride quality hasn't changed but the performance has improved DRASTICALLY.

contact the MB dealership, they can get you OEM springs. You can even get EURO spec OEM springs for a lower ride height.

It looks like KW, H&R, or a company called B&G (a play on H&R ) are your options for springs when it comes to the W210

How are they different from the US AMG spec springs and the all important question - how much do they cost?

This is what I'll do if I were you....buy a set of coil spring compressor off ebay and spend around the same price and change all 4 springs plus pads yourself. When you are done using them....post them back out to ebay or this forum and you will get more then half your money back . I have an old set which I had use for my 190D and 300DT which I will be using for this car when I change the pads. I can still sell them out for half of what I paid them for after all these years. The style is the same.

so these won't work on an E55? Summit and Jegs both show that they do.

THANK GOD
took the E to the indi , at first he came back said everything checks out , told him can i look at it , let me go back n look as were looking over he reaches at bottom mount of spring bam broken coil ..spring perch is solid , thank god.. he didnt have time to swap out the coil as he was booked with cars , told him order me another spring and call me when it comes in have both front springs swapped out .. also noticed a small oil buildup around the main seal area he believes it could be from oil sending unit inside the cover , will get it checked out when springs are swapped out .. just glad didnt have to reweld a new spring perch in ..

euro springs
Just curious, I'll check the price for the euro springs at the big dealership here in New Haven and let you know what they change for them. Seriously, if the Euros turn out to be around the same as the US spec springs, I would order them instead of H&R.

I don't think you can get actual Euro-spec AMG springs anywhere but in Europe. They ran me $390 Euros or $560....and that included shipping from Belgium to Florida. They are heavy, so I would bet shipping was $100.that would be about $115 a spring.
