I got a great deal on a 55 long block that I wanna install into my e 430. Has anyone ever done this and what should I look for as potential problems?

Any potential problem! Just Do-it!! engine is the same at all, only + displacement/internals/fuel injectors etc. all with the engine. and probably is good some performance chip for e55 engine cause you have the ecu with the ignition timing for the 4.3 engine and no for the 5.5 other all is the same

Find the complete e55 exhaust too and maybe is a good time for some kleemann headers or so

Might want to check out the C43 page. There are some good threads over there on 55 swaps and some of the info is probably relevant to your swap.

Thanks for all input, anywhere I could find CPU chip upgrade? Also any leads on kleeman headers?

You would get your kleemann headers/downpipes for 1000$ at the moment and kleemann can do the performance ecu upgrade for the new engine/deleat the CEL fault with the headers and remove the speed limiter go ahead for kleemann goodies , also AMS has a very good quality headers/pulleys/ECU too. But i'm sure cause i drive the 2 cars, the jump from the 430 to the 55 is baaadaassss
